My primary role at Media Fusion Technologies was to work with their proprietary CMS, built with VB.NET and ASP.NET WebForms. The CMS had modules, separate sections that included front facing views, admin pages and database code using LINQ to SQL.

Unlike past jobs I wasn’t responsible for turning Photoshop files into templates, the designers did that. My responsibilities included creating or modifying CMS modules, either due to functionality changes or because the designers needed some different output.

I also assisted with general modifications and maintenance to the CMS as needed, and bug fixes for existing websites.

Working at Media Fusion Technologies required me to pickup VB.NET, start working with projects already under development, provide maintenance to legacy versions of the CMS, and unlike past jobs, I was limited to older versions of SQL Server and ASP.NET.
